A refreshing Lemon Mint Cooler made with fresh lemon juice, mint leaves, and a touch of sweetness. This chilled beverage is perfect for hot days, offering a tangy and minty flavor that revitalizes and hydrates.

Ingredients

For the Lemon Mint Cooler

  • Fresh mint/pudina – fistful (about 10-12 leaves)
  • Lemon – 2 juicy ones (about 100 ml juice)
  • Sugar or any sweetener – as needed (about 2 tablespoons or to taste)
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Water – 2 1/4 cups (about 540 ml)

For Garnishing

  • Fresh Mint Leaves – 3
  • Ice cubes – 3-4

Instructions

  1. Extract Lemon Juice: Squeeze juice from two lemons to obtain approximately 100 ml of fresh lemon juice, ensuring no seeds remain.
  2. Prepare Mint Mixture: Grind the fresh mint leaves finely along with powdered jaggery or sugar using the freshly squeezed lemon juice. This helps to blend the flavors and dissolve the sweetener well.
  3. Mix Ingredients: Add a pinch of salt to the mint and lemon mixture, then pour in chilled water. Stir well to combine all the flavors. Adjust water quantity according to taste, keeping in mind that adding ice cubes will further dilute the drink.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Pour the cooler into glasses, top each with 3-4 ice cubes, and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Serve immediately for the best refreshing experience.

Notes

  • You can substitute powdered jaggery with granulated sugar or any preferred sweetener.
  • Adjust the sweetness and water quantity based on your taste preference.
  • For an extra tangy kick, you can add a teaspoon of lemon zest when grinding mint.
  • Use chilled water and fresh ice cubes for the best cooling effect.
  • This drink is best served fresh and consumed within a few hours.
