Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Dough

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough

Cheeses

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Meats

  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup cooked sausage crumbles

Vegetables

  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure easy cleanup and prevent sticking.
  2. Roll Out Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the refrigerated pizza dough into a large rectangular shape to create an even base for the filling.
  3. Add Sauce and Fillings: Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border all around. Then, evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella, cheddar cheese, pepperoni slices, cooked sausage crumbles, diced green bell pepper, onion, and black olives over the sauce.
  4. Roll Dough Into Log: Starting from one of the longer edges, tightly roll the dough into a log shape. Pinch the seam and ends firmly to seal the roll, preventing the filling from leaking out during baking. Place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush and Season: Brush the entire surface of the rolled dough with olive oil to promote a golden crust, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning for an aromatic finish.
  6. Bake: Bake the Garbage Bread in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through, ensuring the cheese is melted and the dough is fully baked.
  7. Rest and Serve: Allow the bread to rest for 5 minutes after baking to let the filling settle. Slice into rounds and serve warm with additional marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce for an irresistible treat.

Notes

  • Use a clean kitchen towel to cover the dough while resting to keep it soft.
  • Feel free to customize the meat and veggie fillings to suit your taste preferences.
  • For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes to the filling or sprinkle on top before baking.
  • Make sure to seal the dough tightly when rolling to prevent leaks during cooking.
  • Serve with extra marinara or ranch dressing for dipping.
