For the Tomato Soup
- 4 tomatoes (cut into half)
- 5 basil leaves
- 30 ml heavy cream
- 15 ml extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- 2 slices ciabatta bread
- 4 slices Gouda cheese
- 1 tbsp salted butter
- Prepare the tomato pulp: Using a fine cheese grater, grate the inside of each halved tomato into a saucepan, leaving behind the skin. This process extracts the tomato juice and pulp needed for the soup base.
