Ingredients

Scale

Blondie Batter

  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cinnamon Swirl

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Cream Cheese Icing

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
  2. Prepare Blondie Batter: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter with 1 1/2 cups brown sugar. Stir in the eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour and salt, being careful not to overmix to keep the batter light.
  3. Make Cinnamon Swirl: In a separate bowl, mix together 1/2 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand. This will create a flavorful cinnamon swirl in the blondies.
  4. Assemble: Spread the blondie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top. Using a butter knife, gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter to create a marbled effect.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes or until the edges turn golden and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before icing.
  6. Make Cream Cheese Icing: Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth in a medium bowl. Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy and smooth. Drizzle the icing generously over the cooled blondies.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the blondie batter to keep the dessert tender and chewy.
  • Allow blondies to cool completely before adding icing to prevent it from melting.
  • You can adjust the milk quantity in the icing for desired thickness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
  • Reheat briefly for a warm, gooey treat.
